It’s funny where inspiration hits. The other day I was having lunch and I noticed on the menu there was a remarkable image of a margarita. I started thinking, “that is an interesting water effect.” Of course being the Photoshop geek I am, I started thinking about how I would create that effect in Photoshop. Well, I got home that evening and started messing around with it and the result came out pretty good. This piece was created entirely from scratch using Photoshop and Illustrator.... [more]

Scott Kelby has a new book coming out later this month called Scott Kelby’s 7-Point System for Adobe Photoshop. It’s quite simply a workflow checklist for handling virtually any imaging issue you encounter. Have you ever  uploaded your images to your computer and said to yourself, “Now what do I do?”  This book is the answer. For a clearer explanation by Scott himself go here.  Read More →

Some of you may have recently read in the papers about the tragic slaughter of gorillas in Virunga National Park, in the Congo DRC. It’s great that they’re finally getting exposure in the national papers, but obviously terrible that it had to happen in these circumstances. The good news is that there’s plenty you can do to help: a... [more]
